FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How is my artist decided for the day?
Once we have received your enquiry form we will find out which of our amazing artists are available. These will be sent to you along with a quote, so you can choose who you would like to book. When the deposit has been paid you will be put in contact with your artist via email to arrange a trial and all other important details.
  • Why does bridal hair and makeup cost more?
We get asked this a lot, and can totally understand why this may cause confusion. Weddings involve more admin and planning than an event booking, the average wedding booking has an email thread of around 30 emails! They require an artist to hold the date for approximately 1-2 years, and your artist will usually arrive between 6am and 8am stay with you right up until just before you say "I do". A bridal hair and makeup slot is also longer than an event makeup, to make sure not a single hair or lash are out of place!
  • Why should I book through The Blush Agency?
We only represent the best of the best in the industry, based on skillset, reputation and reliability. Booking through an agency means you have a dedicated admin team to help with any queries, and peace of mind incase of sickness that we can send out an SOS and find a fast replacement.
  • How shall I prepare for my bridal trial?
We recommend arriving to your trial with a fresh, makeup-free face and clean, dry hair. Inspiration photos can really help to put you and your chosen artist on the same wavelength so Pinterest boards are very much welcomed. Wearing a top which is similar colour to your dress can also help you to envisage the hair and makeup on the big day. If you have your veil and any hair accessories bring them along and you will get a much fuller picture of the final look.
  • How long does a bridal trial last?
A hair or makeup trial will usually last between 1-1.5 hours. If you are booking for both hair and makeup we recommend setting 3 hours aside. If possible we recommend booking your trial for the morning or early afternoon so you can get full wear of you look and let your artist know of any feedback for the wedding day such as shiny skin or curls dropping etc.
  • What happens if I don't want to book my artist after having a trial?
Please let us know within 72 hours of your trial if you no longer wish to book. We can help find an alternative artist from the agency or alternatively we understand if you want to look elsewhere - we aim to please 100% of our brides where possible! The price of the trial and artists travel are non refundable. Your deposit can be refunded if the wedding is more than four weeks away from date of cancellation.
